My goal is to keep my hands on the throttle and stick as much as possible without having to press too many buttons all at once etc. I'm also open to any suggestions of things I could do better. This looks like a huge help for keeping that stuff straight.

Thanks shadowdancer that worked now keybinding working correctly. For some reason, someone in product design thought that was in any way, shape, or form a good idea. You need to disable "clutch mode" for the throttle. When I switch back to the boost being bound to the i button on the hotas the boost function failed. So to test the boost function I changed the key bind to the enter key on my keyboard which works. I've come across an issue with a key binding for my hotas specifically for boost in ED I've been using the i button but recently it doesn't work.
